For as long as I can remember I’ve always loved shopping for sweaters in the men’s department. When I was growing up, low rise jeans and cropped everything was all the rage. So for a long torso’d girl with a strict dress code, finding anything that fit appropriately was a huge challenge. Oversized was just not in the teenage girl fashion vocabulary at the time. It was however in the boys department. Not to mention their stuff is usually cheaper! Thus my love affair began, and continues to this day. The perfect example being this sweater from Express. It is the exact right level of oversized on me and the perfect sweater to complement my Almost Famous – 70s style look. I made sure to add my go to Julie Vos necklace and some feminine suede flats to make sure my vibe was less Russel Hammond and more Penny Lane haha.
more of my men’s department favorites:
GAP jean jacket | EXPRESS navy striped sweater (men’s – wearing a size small) | STEVE MADDEN suede flats | c/o JULIE VOS necklace | RAY-BAN aviators | GUCCI soho disco bag
