A Weekend at Sea

I can’t believe I just got back to Dallas from Los Angles and I am already packing for my next trip. On Thursday, Ashley and I are flying to NYC for a 3 day cruise with a few other blogger gals! This is actually my 2nd cruise with Royal Caribbean (I went to Bermuda with Bethany this past May), but this weekend we will be sailing on one of the Anthem of the Sea’s first trips.

First on my list is always a pair of comfy pjs, so I can enjoy the ocean views on the balcony with a cup of tea in the morning. I tend to run cold, so bringing a cashmere wrap along to help me stay extra toasty is a must (bonus it doubles as a travel blanket).

Why am I bringing a bikini on a cruise in November? Because even though the weather outside is frightful, the indoor solarium pool & spa are so delightful 🙂

With over 18 dining options, I can’t wait to eat my way through this weekend. I am particularly looking forward to trying Jamie’s Italian by Jamie Oliver to get my pasta fix. There is always one fancy night for dinner and you can go wrong with a LBD and a great pair of red heels.

From the Seaplex (featuring bumper cars, a roller rink & circus school) to the Ripcord by iFly sky diving simulator, I am sure to need a great pair of sneakers & leggings during my trip. The North Star is another feature definitely on my to do list. This jewel shaped capsule, Inspired by the London Eye (and almost as tall as Big Ben), takes you up over 300 feet above sea level! Even though I am afraid of heights, the 360 degree view sounds too cool to pass up…and if I get really scared that’s what the Bionic Bar is for!
