Our time in St. Thomas was absolutely jam packed! We started off the day at 7am for an early breakfast on the boat, and then headed down to the marina for a morning excursion of snorkeling & riding under water scooters aka B.O.S.S. (Breathing Observation Submersible Scooter).
What is exactly is a B.O.S.S. you might ask? It is basically an underwater vespa with a helmet attached that lets you explore the ocean without impeding your breathing. Remember in school when you would turn a glass upside down in a sink of water and no water would enter the glass? It’s the same concept with the BOSS unit. As you descend, a seal is formed, the scuba tank supplies air to the bubble and you breathe normally. Science aside, I was still pretty nervous about the whole concept and nearly backed out right before I was meant to get in the water.
After the excursion, we headed back the Regal Princess for lunch at the specialty Italian restaurant Alfredo’s. I opted for the Regal Princess Pizza which was amazing! Definitely one of the best meals on the ship.
This Bar III cover up was one of my favorite on the trip. Not only was the aztec print super cute, but the material was very quick to dry, so I didn’t feel like a drowned rat walking around all day. Also these fringe sandals were a summer favorite of mine from last year and now they are back in stock! I can’t wait to get another pair in white.
Our afternoon was wide open, so I decided to head up to the pool deck after lunch for a little siesta in the sun. Feeling rejuvenated, I headed back to my cabin for a quick shower and change to go back out and explore more of St. Thomas for the afternoon (more on that tomorrow).
