Target Beauty Concierge + NYFW Look Three

It happens every year around this time: school starts, temperatures drop, and summer begins to fade into my memories—along with my tan. One day I’ll be putting on my makeup and all of a sudden my base simply no longer matches my face. Such was the case the other morning, so I made a trip over to my local Target for a session with the Target Beauty Concierge, Cecilia.

She suggested we test out a few options on the back of my hand so I could see if I liked the weight and texture. Once I settled on the Sonia Kashuk tinted moisturizer, we color-matched my face and found the perfect paler shade (fair 23) for my fall complexion. She also helped me find the the best application brush for the foundation, so it blends really well and is evenly distributed.

While I was at it, I also picked up a couple more replacement makeup brushes, and a new mascara (I try to replace mascara bi-monthly to help prevent bacteria). I’ve been using the tinted moisturizer for a couple weeks now, and I’m really pleased with the choice. Using it during NYFW was the real test, but it held up really well during my long days of running around to shows, meetings, and events! The Target Beauty department has always been a favorite of mine, and now, with the concierge service, it is so nice to know I have a friendly face to count on for help and advice.
