A Weekend with JetBlue
Last weekend I headed back up to Palm Beach with JetBlue Vacations for a fun staycation at the Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa. Y’all may remember I stayed here last Summer with Christian and it rained nearly the entire time. So, I was stoked to have some better weather this time around! We also got to attend Sunfest during our trip which was super fun. Christian and I have never been to a show together, as he’s not a big music person. His first and only concert experience was a Britney Spears show – not joking. I was pleasantly surprised when, he actually enjoyed himself. It was hard not to with some many great bands playing on the Jetblue stage like Cake, Grouplove, and DNCE.
Day one
We drove up to the Eau Palm Beach on Saturday morning and arrived around lunch time. It was Cinco de Mayo so they had a fun little tequila tasting and taco station set up. We opted for lunch on the patio, Christian got the highly recommended grouper sandwich and I stuck with a turkey wrap. The spicy watermelon margaritas were flowing and I was feeling pretty groovy by the end of lunch. We decided to just hang by the pool and beach rest of the afternoon and work on our tans. The last time we stayed at the Eau, we never ventured off the property for any of our meals. This time we decided to try out Latana Pizza. It was OK, but I probably wouldn’t go back.
The bow on this top is actually supposed to go in the back, but I liked it better in the front. It also runs kind of small so I would size up!
Day two
We had room service for breakfast, and then headed up to West Palm for Sunfest. I would definitely recommend Ubering – the parking situation can get a little crazy. This has to be one of the more picturesque Music festivals, it’s literally held right along the water. People even, were hanging out in their boats listening to the music, which I definitely want to try for at least one day next time. My favorite show was DNCE. I actually saw them on a cruise once, so I knew how great they are live. This show was no different! They’re something contagious about watching a band just have a total blast on stage. We also spotted Joe’s fiancé aka Sansa Stark back stage, which was pretty fun since I’m a GOT fan haha. Christian also saw Nick filming the show in the crowd, the brotherly love is strong! Also, I am low key obsessed with their guitarist Jin Joo, she is a level of cool that I will never reach and it is so fun to follow her on Insta.
After concert we headed over to Worth Ave, to stroll around a bit and grab some dinner. Even though I’ve been there nearly every trip, I insisted that we hit up BrickTop’s. What can I say I had to get my deviled egg fix! We were pretty exhausted from the day so after dinner, we decided to head back to the hotel. We posted up in our cozy robes and watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which is such an oldie but a goodie.
Have y’all gotten a chance to check out Gigi NY’s new Game Day Collection? Not only is it perfect for sporting events, its also the perfect bag for music festivals!
Day three
Christian headed back to Miami for work, but I decided to stick around for a little more time in the sun. I spent the morning working poolside, you really can’t beat an office that has a view of the ocean! I grabbed one more turkey wrap to-go and then caught the train back down to Brickell.
