Studded + Cropped

The temperatures in Dallas have been surprisingly low the past few days, probably due to the massive amounts of rain we’ve been getting. But nonetheless, it has been a welcome change of pace! I got this little jacket a few weeks ago (currently on major sale here), and I haven’t really gotten a chance to wear it until now. I how the updated spin on a classic silhouette with the silver studs around the collar and shoulders.

I guess I’m on a stud kick, as I also recently got these embellished espadrilles. I like how substantial they are and I think that the leather detailing will make them great fall transition pieces.

Since there was so much going on with the jacket and the espadrilles, I decided to keep the rest of the outfit simple. This grey tank from Old Navy has become one of my favorite basic layers (it is so freaking soft), and I just love the fit of these J Brand ripped jeans. My legs are on the shorter side for my height, so I always love pairs that are technically cropped (a 28 inch inseam is my denim sweet spot). Even though I got them a few seasons ago the raw hemline feels very up to date with the current denim trends.

I can’t believe I leave on my trip tomorrow (make sure to follow me on snapchat and instagram)! I have so much to do and so little time. Most importantly getting my nails done with mom at Miniluxe – it’s one of my favorite salons in Dallas 🙂 I’m thinking of going with white or a neutral so that they match everything, but I can’t decide. Any suggestions??
