A few weeks ago I popped by Barba Skin Clinic here in Miami to try out a Glytone peel. I have pretty sensitive skin that is prone to redness so after looking through the different treatment options, we chose the Manadelic Acid peel. I couldn’t be happier with the results! One of the worst parts about having redness on my face is feeling like I can’t leave the house without makeup. After the treatment I felt a lot more comfortable skipping my foundation before heading out the door. It also definitely helped clear up a few hormonal breakouts I had. So bottom line I will definitely be incorporating this Glytone peel into my skincare regimine.
Glytone Peel FAQ
How did you look after?
There was definitely redness, but it subsided a few hours post treatment. I had slight peeling over the next 2 days but nothing too crazy.
Did it sting?
Dr. Barba was very careful not to overly irritate my skin so she left the peel on for about 2.5 minutes. I’ve had other peels before, so I knew what do expect and the stinging was very bearable.
What were the post treatment instructions?
Stay out of the sun and keep my skin extra hydrated.
When did you feel completely healed?
I would say around day 5 or 6 post peel.
How often should you get the Mandadelic Acid Peel?
About every 4-6 weeks.
Redness isn’t a big issue for me. Does Glytone offer any other peels?
YES! They have peels that address anti-aging, acne, and hyper-pigmantation at various strengths.
Would you do the peel again?
Absolultely! I feel like the redness in my skin has been 80% better after the peel and would definitely do it again.
