Is it just me or are y’alls hands bone dry right now?? I wrote this ode to my love of hand lotion before the COVID-19 scare had taken over, but now it feels especially relevant. Now that washing your hands thoroughly and often is apart of everyone’s routines, it’s time to find a great hand cream to keep your precious paws from getting too dried out and chapped. See my original post below as well as some of my favorite hand lotions.
A HAND LOTION LOVE AFFAIR
Don’t neglect your hands ladies! The aging process can be brutal and keeping them in tip top shape is the easiest way to trick people into thinking you’re 10 years younger for years to come. But beyond good anti-aging practices, my obsession with hand lotion is real and runs deep.
Ever since I was old enough to get dropped off at the mall with $20, I would make a bee line for Bath & Body Works to get my hands on my signature scent Sweet Pea (cucumber melon was my real favorite, but there was another girl in my class that had already claimed it – hoop earrings were also her thing). It was 7th grade and nothing made me feel quite as cool as being able to pull out that tube and reapply between classes. While my obsession hasn’t waned my hand cream selections have gotten a little more sophisticated. When I’m traveling its pretty easy to feel out of sorts on a long trip away from home. So everytime I pull out my lotion, that familiar scent grounds me and makes me feel not as far away anymore.
