TOPKNOT + MAXI

One of my favorite things we did during our trip to Barbados was going to dinner at The Cliffs. It is quite literally a restaurant nestled in between ocean front cliffs with the MOST GORGEOUS VIEWS. My only regret is that we didn’t get there early enough to properly take photos before the sunset, so if you ever get the opportunity to check it out – make it an early dinner!

After a long day of fun in the sun, the last thing I want to do while on vacation is go back to the room and spend an hour getting ready. I’ve discovered that the trick is to look like you tried harder than you actually did, which requires a sleek top knot and a chic maxi dress (like this one from Rebecca Minkoff). At first I thought that the dress alone would be enough, but the absence of my usual curly waves was too glaring. So halfway through this little photo session I swept my hair up into a top knot and voila! I looked way more put together than I deserved ; )
