Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass

This past trip to new york with my mom was so fun! Since I live in Miami and she lives in Dallas, we don’t get to see each other as much as we would like. So trips like this are so special to us. We decided to spend the second half of our time in New York in Brooklyn because she had never stayed there before. It was so fun to get to bring her to one of my favorite area’s Dumbo and take some fun pictures. Here are a few of my favorite spots in the area:

1. Cecconi’s Dumbo
Amazing Italian food and you can’t beat the view of the bridge if you sit on the patio.

2. Bluestone Lane
Come for the coffee, stay for the adorable decor and avocado toast.

3. 1 Rooftop Garden and Bar
I dare you to find a better view of the Manhattan Skyline.

4. River Cafe
This is a Brooklyn institution that everyone should try. Their views of NYC make it one of the hottest reservations in town – be sure to book in advanced.

5. Jane’s Carousel
Whether you’re a kid or just young at heart, this iconic spot will leave your breathless.

This ba&sh camel coat was my ride or die the whole trip. It immediately elevated anything I was wearing, even my sweatshirt and leggings on the way from the airport haha. Investing in classic pieces like this is always a great idea because you know you will have them for years to come.

I bought this Staud pvc shirley bag right before coming on this trip. I was little on the fence about keeping it because Christian made so much fun of it when it came in the mail. But it was my most complimented item the whole time I was in NYC! No less than 10 people asked me where I had gotten it. It’s funny because it totally proved my golden rule: if you’re boyfriend thinks your outfit look crazy, it means you’re doing something right. After all I dress for other fashion girls not him haha!

Pro tip – if you want to get a clear shot with no one else behind you, come early! We got there right around 8:30 and had the whole street to ourselves. Later in the day when we passed by after having lunch, it was absolutely packed!
