A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of visiting the Four Seasons Palm Beach. If you’ve been following me for a while, my love affair with Palm Beach is nothing new. The energy is so different than Miami. Much calmer and slower paced, with far less tourists. I don’t know what it is but I get positively giddy the moment I arrive. And this trip was no exception.
,From the moment Luccia, and I arrived I was struck by how friendly the staff was. Not to mention the property is completely gorgeous, and the lobby smells amazing (I know that sounds a bit random, but I am all about hotel smells haha). Every inch of the resort is filled with fresh orchids and the chicest decor. And even Swell, the on site boutique, is not your average hotel gift shop…think Missoni. I know at this point I’m bordering on gushing, but I genuinely can’t think of one bad thing to say about my experience other than they wouldn’t let me move in.
Day One
Once Luccia and I arrived, we immediately dropped our bags upstairs and headed straight down for Lunch at AB & G. This was probably my favorite meal of the trip. For me, A huge part of the dining experience for me is ambiance. So having a direct view of the ocean while I sip a cocktail and eat chips & guac really is as good as it gets in my book. I highly recommend the Palm Beach Pearl and the Lobster and Shrimp Salad Rolls. After Lunch we headed over to our beach adjacent cabana to catch some much needed rays. The weather was absolutely perfect that day, around 70 degrees with a light breeze. And just when I thought life couldn’t get better, the macarons arrived.
Luccia and I had a nice little Champagne happy hour in the room while we freshened up for dinner. Then it was off to try out the new menu at Jove. Our waiter Jimmy was a hoot and a half, and really knew his stuff. We opted to start with the Salami and Cheese board which was almost too pretty to eat…almost 🙂 For my main course I went classic and ordered the Cacio e Pepe, and promptly fell into a carb coma.
We were lucky to have an oceanfront room which meant I was lulled to sleep by the sound of crashing waves. As an avid white noise machine user, needless to say I was in heaven.
Day Two
As if I didn’t eat enough the day before, Breakfast at Graze was another one for the books. Please, please, please. Promise me that you will order the Cheddar Biscuit Sliders. Holy moly were those bad boys tasty AF. After breakfast, I headed back down to the beach for a quick dip before my massage.
The Spa was every bit as amazing as I hoped it would be. My veteran Four Seasons masseuse was Cindy (she’s been working there for over 15 years) and I can’t sing her praises enough. Not only was she extremely knowledgable and good at her job, she was also a total sweetheart. I’m going to go out on a limb and say it was definitely one of my top 5 massages. I carry a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders, and between Cindy’s skills and my complementary ‘yoga balm’ add on my muscles felt like butter after.
When I go to the spa I really like to take advantage of the facilities, use the sauna, hang out in the whirlpool, take a steam shower etc. All in all I was probably down there around 2.5 hours, and emerged extremely relaxed. PS. the robes are SUPER soft and cozy.
When Luccia and I drove up, we took bit of a wrong turn and stumbled upon the cutest little pier a little ways down the street from the hotel. So after the Spa, we decided to bike over and grab a bite at the quaint local haunt Bennys On the Beach. A little tip from me to you, no matter how cute you think your outfit is…don’t wear a wrap skirt bike riding. You will live to regret it haha.
And just like that it was time to head home. I want to say thank you again to the Four Seasons Palm Beach for hosting us and making this such a lovely and memorable experience. Hopefully, now that the Brightline Miami Station is nearing its completion, I’ll be back to visit Jimmy and Cindy real soon 🙂
