A few weeks ago I pulled the trigger a bought an Apple Watch. I was honestly very shocked at myself. I’ve been skeptical of these watches since their launch a few years ago, and have done my fair share of mocking. Who needs to be that reachable that they need a phone on their wrist? They’re waterproof? Great, now I can get work emails in the shower. That did not interest me even a little bit. So what made me have a change of heart?
I started working out in the New Year.
As I started to explore different fitness plans, I discovered BBG and the Sweat app. Once I realized that your progress can be more accurately tracked via an Apple Watch, I started to see the appeal. I figured I would go get one, and if I didn’t like it I’d return it within the 2 week trial period.
It’s a great travel companion.
Once I got the watch, I quickly realized that the benefits extended far beyond my new workout routine. As someone who travels a lot, I found myself using the Map, Uber/Lyft, and American Airlines apps pretty frequently. And the calendar alerts came in especially handy during fashion week.
The SOS signal.
I live alone and travel on my own quite frequently. So the SOS alert feature on the watch definitely gives me some piece of mind. I know its available on your phone as well, but I like the idea of having it right on my wrist. If I’m ever walking home or in a strange place and feel unsafe its nice to have that as a failsafe.
Consider me a convert. I love my Apple Watch. I’m still not crazy about how it looks, so don’t expect to see it featured in too many Outfit Posts haha. But I’ve got my eye on these Michele Straps that I think could make it considerably cuter! What do you guys think about the Apple Watch?
