In the past, I have agonized over every single little detail of every single outfit that I would wear during fashion week. This year however, was different. I think partially due to packing restraints (I could only have one carry one & one checked bag under 44 lbs for a 25 day trip) and partially due to being more comfortable with myself and my style; I just didn’t feel the need to take my looks to an overly complicated or try-hard place. For the most part I packed a lot of amazing simple pieces that I knew would mix and match extremely well together, including this little black helmut lang dress. It was perfect for a couple of evening events I had in London, but also worked great during the day under this suede moto jacket & my moto booties. I also whipped it out for dinner one night on the cruise with my favorite travel wrap. When packing for a long trip like this one, the key really is to edit yourself down to your most versatile pieces…and what’s more versatile than a LBD?
